Editorial Policy

Effective June 3, 2026

TDEE Lab publishes calculator pages and plain-language educational content about calorie and macro estimates.

Formula choices

The primary TDEE and BMR calculators use Mifflin-St Jeor as the BMR formula because it is widely used, transparent, and easy to audit. TDEE is estimated by applying standard activity multipliers to BMR.

Calculator limits

Each page explains that outputs are estimates. We avoid guarantees, medical claims, and unsupported promises. We do not claim professional medical review unless a real credentialed reviewer is involved and named.

Update process

Calculator copy and formulas are reviewed when new tools are added, when a bug is found, or when methodology needs clarification. Pages include an updated date where useful.

Feedback

Questions or correction requests can be sent to hello@tdeelab.com. Include the page URL and the issue you found.
